An Alternative to Dealer Replacement
Door panel separation is one of the most common interior issues we see on Porsche models. Over time the factory adhesive weakens along the upper portion of the panel — particularly near the window opening — causing the panel to lift and pull away from the door card. Left unaddressed, the separation can widen, affect the surrounding leather, and eventually interfere with window operation.
We repair and reattach door panels without replacing the door assembly, restoring proper fit and finish at significantly lower cost than dealer replacement. Available for local appointments at our Anaheim shop or through our mail-in service for customers outside Orange County.
A Structural Approach to Door Panel Repair
Most door panel repairs rely on adhesive alone to reattach lifting material — a fix that often doesn’t hold long term. We’ve developed a proprietary plastic reinforcement process that re-bonds and stabilizes the panel from within, restructuring the underlying framework rather than just addressing the surface. The result is a repair that restores the original structural integrity of the panel, not just its appearance.
Our door panel repair service is available two ways:
In-Shop Service
Bring your vehicle to our Anaheim location and we’ll handle complete panel removal, repair, and reinstallation.

What the Repair Addresses
• Realigns the panel to original fit without altering exterior leather or stitching
• Stabilizes the underlying structure to reduce the risk of separation recurring
• Preserves window mechanism function and door operation throughout
• Addresses the structural cause rather than just reattaching the surface
Porsche 911 GT3 (991)
This 991 GT3 arrived with warped and lifting leather door panels. Rather than replacing the panels, the original materials were reshaped and re-molded using our structural reinforcement process, restoring the panels to their original fit without introducing any replacement parts — an important consideration on a GT3 where maintaining originality matters.
2014 Porsche Cayman (981)
Heat and UV exposure had caused the door panel material on this 981 Cayman to lift and separate. Both door panels were reupholstered in black leather, restoring clean fit and a consistent finish throughout the door interior.
Heat and UV exposure had caused the door panel material on this 981 Cayman to lift and separate in two places — along the window opening and the lower edge. Both door panels were fully removed and treated with our structural reinforcement process. The headliner was replaced during the same visit, visible in the in-process photos with the interior fully stripped down. Both surfaces were finished in black leather and suede respectively.
2016 Porsche Cayenne
The door panels on this Cayenne had been lifting at the edges over time — a progressive issue as the factory adhesive weakens with repeated heat and sun exposure. Both front panels were removed, repaired using our structural reinforcement process, and reinstalled to factory fitment.
